TERMS OF SERVICE

Custom Builds
Every Desktop Lab system is custom-built to order. Because of this, we can only accept cancellation within 12 hours of placing your order. After that point, components may already have been ordered and work may have begun.

Delivery & Collection
We currently deliver to UK Mainland and Northern Ireland addresses only using DPD Next Working Day Delivery once your system is ready.

UK Mainland delivery is free. Delivery to Northern Ireland is charged at £39.95.

You’ll receive tracking information once DPD has collected your PC.

Once your system has been delivered or collected, responsibility for the rig passes to you. Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery.

Collection may also be available by prior arrangement.

Acceptance of Goods
We recommend inspecting and testing your PC as soon as you receive it.

Any claims for transit damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can process a claim with our courier.

Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for issues caused by misuse, overclocking, unauthorised repairs or software modifications. These actions will void any warranty and support coverage.

Warranty Coverage
Every new Desktop Lab PC includes a 3-year return-to-base warranty as standard.

During Year 1 from the date of delivery, the warranty includes both parts and labour for hardware faults or component failures occurring under normal use.

During Years 2 and 3, labour for diagnosis, repair, rebuild and component replacement is covered. Replacement parts are chargeable where they are not covered by an applicable manufacturer warranty.

Customers who select our 5-Year Warranty Upgrade receive the same labour cover during Years 4 and 5. The upgrade does not extend the standard 1-year parts cover.

If your PC needs to be returned to us, this is provided on a return-to-base basis - you’ll cover shipping to us, but if the fault is genuine and covered under warranty, we’ll pay for the return back to you.

Lifetime Support
Every Desktop Lab customer also enjoys our Lifetime Support Promise - ongoing advice and help for as long as you own your system.

This isn’t 24/7 on-call technical support, but it does mean you can always reach out by email or message with questions, even years after purchase. We’ll be here to help with:

- Advice on future upgrades and compatible parts.
- Optimising game settings for the best performance in titles like Fortnite, Valorant, and more.
- Guidance on driver updates or Windows reinstallation.
- Suggestions on useful software to install (or avoid).
- Troubleshooting small issues remotely, where possible.

Most customers only use this occasionally - for example, asking “Should I upgrade to 32GB RAM?” - but knowing you’ve got ongoing support adds real peace of mind.

Promotional Use
We may photograph or record your build for promotional use (social media, website). No personal info will be included unless we get your permission first.

If you’d prefer us not to feature your rig in promotional materials, just let us know when you order.

Software
Every Desktop Lab system arrives fully set up and ready to use. Windows 11 is always pre-installed and activated, with all the latest drivers in place. We also optimise your BIOS settings for gaming, including enabling RAM profiles, secure boot settings, and fine-tuning fan curves for cooling and performance.

This means when your rig arrives, it’s not just built - it’s already been configured, tested, and benchmarked, so you can jump straight into your favourite games without any extra setup.

Delivery Delays
We aim to have your rig ready for delivery within five working days, but please note that courier delays, weather conditions, or other factors outside our control can sometimes affect delivery times. While we’ll always keep you updated, we cannot offer refunds or discounts for delays caused by third parties.

Desktop Lab reserves the right to refuse, cancel or refund any order that is identified by our payment provider or fraud detection systems as presenting an unacceptable fraud risk.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015).
